Hot Tub Hire

Weekly and long-term hot tub hire

Weekly and long-term hot tub hire in the UK: seven-night and longer hires for holidays at home and extended celebrations, with water care advice included.

In short: Weekly hot tub hire is a seven-night hire, and long-term hire covers two weeks or more, with the tub delivered, set up and collected at the end. It is usually the best value per night, because delivery, set-up and collection cost the same however long you keep the tub. Typical UK prices are around £180 to £350 for an inflatable week and £350 to £650 for a hard-shell week.

Weekly and long-term hot tub hire

Most of the cost of hiring a hot tub is in the work at each end: delivery, set-up, filling, cleaning and collection. Once the tub is in, extra nights cost the supplier very little, which is why a full week is often only a little more than a long weekend. A week also means you are not rushing to use the tub before it goes, and the slow first-day heat-up matters much less.

Longer hires do need more water care. The water should be tested every day, chemicals topped up after use, and the filter rinsed every few days. For hires beyond a week, the water may need changing part way through, particularly if the tub has been used heavily. We leave clear instructions and test strips, and can arrange a mid-hire check or water change on longer bookings.

How it works

How weekly and long-term hot tub hire works, step by step
  1. Choose the length

Pick a seven-night hire or a longer block, and say how often the tub is likely to be used so we can plan chemicals and filters.

  2. Set up and heat

The tub is set up and heated on day one, with a walk-through of testing, dosing and filter care.

  3. Look after the water

Test daily, top up the sanitiser after use and rinse the filter every few days, keeping the cover on between sessions.

  4. Refresh or collect

On longer hires we can change the water part way through, then drain and collect at the end.

Weekly and long-term hot tub hire: FAQs

How much electricity does a hot tub use in a week?

It depends on the tub, the weather and how often the cover is off. An inflatable heater is typically around 2 kW, and running costs over a week in mild weather are often in the region of £20 to £45 at current UK electricity prices, more in cold or windy weather. Keeping the cover on and fastened is the single biggest saving.

Does the water need changing during a week?

For a typical domestic week with sensible use and good daily water care, the water usually lasts the whole hire. If the tub has been used heavily, the water turns cloudy or foamy and does not clear after shocking, or the hire runs beyond a week, a water change is sensible. For holiday lets, HSE guidance expects water to be changed between each group of guests.

How often should the filter be cleaned?

Rinse the filter cartridge with a hose every two to three days during a hire, or more often with heavy use, and replace it if it is damaged or still dirty after rinsing. A clogged filter reduces flow, makes the water cloudy and can stop the heater working properly. Switch the tub off at the socket before removing the filter.

Is it better to hire for a week or buy a tub?

If you would only use a hot tub a few times a year, hiring is usually cheaper once you add up the purchase price, electricity, chemicals, filters, wear and storage. If you would use it most weeks, buying can work out better over time. A week's hire is a good way to find out how often you would really use one.
